The 50/50 Match Draw

The supporters club 50/50 draw is without doubt the biggest and best cash prize draw on match day. With tickets costing just £1 each and fifty per cent of the proceeds going to the supporters club, the 50/50 not only offers you the chance to win big but also helps support the club.

Some facts first:

Season 2011/12 has included decent prizes, including four prizes over £200 (£266, £229, £224 and £202)
Season 2009/10 we sold an impressive 6,000 tickets or so. That's about £3000 each for winners and club. However, due to two unclaimed prizes the balance was £3205 to the club and £2656 for the winners.
There was one 'repeat' lucky winner who has won two prizes during 2009/10.
All the winners season 2009/10 were 'home' fans.
The biggest winner was a whopping £322. This was for the Oxford game. Next was £266 for Luton.
Smallest was Eastbourne at £46, but there was only one seller for this game. Next was first home game of the season £76 V Kidderminster. Season 2010/11 the smallest prize was still a decent £97 for the Chesham game!
Drew Baker sold the most winning tickets during season 2009/10. Liam has sold the most winners this season.

What's it all about:

Simple draw to raise money for the club, and to give one lucky winner each week and a reason to celebrate off the pitch as well as cheering those on it. It's always a good prize which makes it worthwhile.

You can buy tickets from outside the turnstile, the club shop or from the Sarum Suite. You can’t miss us, we will be loud and making sure you know we are there.

We started in the latter half of season 2008/09 and the most notable contribution was nearly £600 for the frost damaged pitch water pump. The pitch was suffering and really hard due to this fault. The repairers wanted money up front, which the club couldn't do at that time. The request for us to pay was made and quickly agreed and work completed almost immediately. There were other examples such as this including consumables for the pitch.

Last season we helped with more pitch items including seed, fertiliser, line paint etc. There has also been some specialist kit items and we were ready to fund the match videos that were a compulsory league requirement, but other money was then found for this. A non football request was to fund some Christmas toys for the players to take to Salisbury District Hospital Children's ward readily agreed.

The club does not frequently request help and each is considered carefully by the supporters club before agreeing. We now have a growing, healthy fund so will be able to help if we think it appropriate.

Aim for Season 2011/12:

We would like to continue with the success of previous seasons, our target is to sell more than 6000 tickets and to see how close we can get to selling 7000. We thank you for for your continued support in buying the tickets.
